Welcome to Shampooch Dog Grooming Salon. We are a caring and professional dog grooming salon located in Snainton, Scarborough. We can cater for all of your dog's grooming needs, whether it be nail clipping, wash and dry or the full works, we are here to help and advise you. We pride ourselves on giving your pet the love and care it needs in the grooming salon and it is our pleasure to pamper each and every one!

Our grooming services

At Shampooch our main priority is to ensure a calm and caring environment for your pet and we treat every dog as if they were a member of our family. We are not a busy walk in salon which can often lead to interruptions in the grooming of a dog and can cause undue stress during the process.

Regular grooming is very important for the health and well-being of any dog, and at Shampooch we take a personal interest in all of the dogs that we see. We like to build up a relationship with each dog, getting to know their likes and dislikes and note the particular areas that they may be sensitive with, so we know to deal with these areas with particular care. We reward dogs with praise and encouragement which helps them to relax, and we find by using kind words and a caring manner it will ultimately encourage them not to fear the grooming experience and hopefully make them look forward to their visits to the salon.

Free personal consultations

When you arrive for your appointment we like to have a brief consultation with you so we can find out exactly what you would like to achieve from your dog's grooming session. After each groom we take a photo and detail notes of the clip so if you want to go for a different style or length on your next appointment we can look through the photos together and can talk you through changes that can be made. We are happy if you want to bring along magazine cut outs or photos of your desired cut so we can have an image to base your vision on.

Free consultations for new customers are always welcomed. If you are unsure about having your dog groomed or how you want him/her to be groomed, then please contact us to arrange a visit to the salon where you can see where your dog will be groomed, and we can discuss your grooming requirements and any concerns you may have. We aim to provide the trim that suits your lifestyle and your pet's comfort. Since all breeds are different, we are open to any special requests.

Please be aware that appointments need to be made in advance, we may not be able to assist with enquiries from walk in customers as this may lead to distruption in the grooming of a dog.
